Sorry song 03:01
Night out with my friends I'm trying to pretend That losing you don't matter much to me I'm trying not to think So I'll have another drink And try and celebrate that I'm free But still the evening ends too soon And then I'm back in my bedroom And all I do is think of you And wish that I was not alone Maybe I'll call you on the phone It's ringing so I'll wait And hope I'm not too late And that you'll forgive what I have done I know that I was wrong So I've written you this song To let you know that you are still the one I'm sorry that I let you down By running all around the town And hope that I can win you round I swear that what I say is true I've never stopped loving you This is my sorry song This is my sorry song And so I'm left alone Cos you won't pick up the phone I've left a hundred voicemails anyway If you give me a call I could explain it all To prove that I never went astry I know the pictures that you've seen On TV and in magazines Make it look as through I've been A cheat but I swear it's not true The only one for me is you This is my sorry song This is my sorry song GUITAR This is my sorry song This is my sorry song This is my sorry song This is my sorry song etc

When she was a little girl Suzy loved her rural world But as she grew the quiet nights Made her dream of brighter lights Suzy wanted something more Packed her bag, creeped out the door Bought a ticket caught a train Never to return again Long way from home Suzy Scarlett Never alone Suzy Scarlett Towering buildings lots of cars Crowded pavements noisy bars A line of shops that never ends A pretty face will soon make friends Long way from home Suzy Scarlett Never alone Suzy Scarlett It's all very well being pretty But you need money in the city She needs a job and can't be choosy Waitressing will suit our Suzy She finds some friends to share a flat And though she's poor it's obvious that Far from her rural world Suzy is a city girl Long way from home Suzy Scarlett Never alone Suzy Scarlett Full of passion Suzy Scarlett Height of fashion Suzy Scarlett Creative and arty Suzy Scarlett Loves to party Suzy Scarlett Long way from home Suzy Scarlett Never alone Suzy Scarlett

Laura's eyes 03:08
Verse 1 As the crowd dissolved, in my own mind She turned her head and looked beyond me If I approached her, what would I find She seems to have a special quality Chorus Look into her eyes Look into her eyes Looking into Laura’s eyes Verse 2 We’re in the same space, at the same time She looks in my direction, what does she see Her world is hers and mine is mine Does she view the world like you and me Chorus Look into her eyes Look into her eyes Looking into Laura’s eyes Middle 8 Verse 3 There’s a connection, between us though unspoken If she only knew would it come as a surprise To hear that something has been awoken By what I’ve seen deep behind those eyes Chorus x 3 Look beyond her eyes At the soul trapped deep inside Could I really hold the key Could we be together Could I be her guide Could I really set her free Look into her eyes Look into her eyes Looking into Laura’s eyes

Maybe 03:30
Every day I see you Sitting in the corner of the coffe shop I want to get to know you Your friends are there and just won't stop Taking your attention There's not a chance that you'll see me Then as you're leaving I get a little smile but that's all there'll be Maybe, if I got to know you Then, maybe I'd be able to show you That maybe we've got lots in common So maybe I'll see you tomorrow and.. We could see a movie There's a science fiction film I'd like to see Or if you're into music There's a cool band playing down the street Strangely I went to the comic store Saw you, walking up to the door You gave me a look I'd not seen before Which gave me hope that there would be more I wanted to ask you out But I was far too shy Then you walked up to me And much to my surprise...... You kissed me You kissed me We're gonna to see a movie There's a science fiction film we want to see And as we're into music There's a cool band playing down the street Lately I've got to know you and Lately I'm able to show you That strangely we've got lots in common so Baby I'll see you tomorrow Lately I've got to know you and Lately I'm able to show you That strangely we've got lots in common so Baby I'll see you tomorrow

Eyeball 02:10
Cruising round the city streets In my pocket mean machine Saturday night it’s time for fun Eyeball Collecting mates along the way Talked so much but more to say Waiting for the dying sun Eyeball We know where we will go To see the voices from my radio Heading for the rendezvous From the city through the lanes Away from lights into the dark Eyeball Up the mountain driving hard Signposts for the Travellers Rest Handbrake turn, a place to park Eyeball We know where we will go To see the voices from my radio Guitar We come here every week To meet the people in our radio Getting in a round of drinks Snakebites and a lager top Take them outside to the car Eyeball Facing across the estuary Talking to a foreign land Sending signals near and far Eyeball Another drink another smoke More pork scratchings, crisps and nuts Open the door to take a leek Eyeball Last orders shouted from the pub Time to leave our mountain perch We’ll be back again next week Eyeball We come here every week To meet the people in our radio We know where we will go To see the voices from my radio

I’ve got the blues Never thought that I would lose Your love and that I’d have to choose A life of pain And so all that now remains Are memories from another day But I’ll pretend to be strong And live life without you With your friends I’ll play along So no one knows that I’ve got the blues I’ve got the blues Don’t know what I’m gonna do I can’t see a better view I’m not so tough Can’t take this pain I’ve had enough Of living with this crazy love So I’ll wear my brightest smile And wipe the tears away But I know that all the while In my heart you’ll stay I’ve got the blues Got to turn around my life And get you outta my head I think about you all the time Alone here in my bed I’ve got the blues I know that I was mean to you But I swear my love is true Oh can’t you see The pain you’ve caused by leaving me So this is how it’s gonna be I will try to win you back I’ll take all the blame I’ll give you all things you lack And show you that I’ve changed There’s no chance of fighting back You are gonna lose But all of this is fantasy That is why, why I’ve got the blues

Machines 03:29
Alive...Coming alive Alive...Coming alive Alive...Coming alive Danger ahead to the future I've been Danger ahead with my eyes I have seen Machines...they're coming alive Danger ahead if we carry on like this (There's) danger ahead from every machine Machines...they're coming alive Armies of machines with their flags unfurled Rising up and taking control of the world Machines... Triggering this mutiny was how we behaved These newly sentient beings want their planet to be saved Machines... We thought we were clever with our new designs We should have noticed the warning signs Machines...they're coming alive Giving them more power and making them faster And so the slave became the master Machines...they're coming alive Armies of machines with their flags unfurled Rising up and taking control of the world Machines... Triggering this mutiny was how we behaved These newly sentient beings want their planet to be saved Machines... Danger ahead to the future I've been Danger ahead with my eyes I have seen Machines...they're coming alive Danger ahead if we carry on like this (There's) danger ahead from every machine Alive...Coming alive Alive...Coming alive Alive...Coming alive

You wake in the morning you yawn and you reach for your phone It's still early you check if your friends list has grown In the night and if your posts were liked by the strangers that you call your friends you pretend that it's Real cos you feel so alone and you need to be loved (need to be loved) it's not Real but you feel so alone and you need to be loved (need to be loved) You put on your makeup and line up the selfie you'll take You'll sellect the right filters so there's no mistake In the image you show to the world when you share and then wait for responses and likes cos you Care what they think about you cos you need to be loved (need to be loved) it's not Real but you feel so alone and you need to be loved (need to be loved) So just be yourself don't let anyone else dictate how you live Don't be so vain, just use your brain, you've so much to give You put on the clothes that the influencers said were in style And pose in thy mirror to improve your smile Cos you can't let your followers see that inside you are scared and just want to hide from the World cos you're curled up in fear and need to be loved (need to be loved) it's not Real but you feel so alone and you need to be loved (need to be loved) So just be yourself don't let anyone else dictate how you live Don't be so vain, just use your brain, you've so much to give Just open your eyes and look at the world past your door Put your phone in your pocket you'll see much more Than the life that has been on your screen, there's real people, whose lives aren't pretend with real friends and they Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved) Feel so much happier being with people they love (we all need to be loved)

When I was young Life stretched ahead And everything was in reach What of my future What did I learn What did they fail to teach Vodka for breakfast Whiskey after noon I'm scared of the darkness, so I stare at the moon [Now that I'm old What have I done I see what I have become] The dark of my soul The recesses of my mind The pain that never ends For the rest of my life Trapped by this fear Scared when the darkness descends Vodka for breakfast Whiskey after noon I'm scared of the darkness, so I stare at the moon I need a focus I need a friend I need one soon… so I STARE AT THE MOON…….

What you gonna do baby What you gonna do When the morning comes What you gonna do baby What you gonna do When the morning comes You spent all night Running round the town When you gonna settle down I know you like to party ain’t gonna pretend Your candles burning bright but it burns at both ends I know you say you want me but it’s hard to believe No sooner are you with me when you say it’s time to leave You spend all night Running round the town When you gonna settle down CHORUS Since I met you baby we’ve had a lot of fun Don’t want to spoil the party don’t let me be the one Who has to tell you baby that you need to take it slow You say you’re doing fine but deep inside you know You spent all night Running round the town When you gonna settle down CHORUS repeat to fade

Crying 03:31
You wake up crying in the middle of the night Life is getting you down You won’t stop trying but it’s a hell of a fight Let’s try to share the pressure around A problem shared is a problem no more I’ll lend you an ear that’s what they’re for We’ll solve it together once we know the score We might as well give it a try So if you feel like screaming Just let it out And if you feel like sharing Let’s hear you shout Free your emotions So you find a way To make it a beautiful day You got all your worries Going round in your head You don’t need to do it alone You’ve so much to do You can’t get out of bed Don’t live life on your own A problem shared is a problem no more I’ll lend you an ear that’s what they’re for We’ll solve it together once we know the score We might as well give it a try So if you feel like screaming Just let it out And if you feel like sharing Let’s hear you shout Free your emotions So you find a way To make it a beautiful day There’s clouds in the sky That darken your heart If we blow together We’ll blow them apart Not saying it’s easy But we might as well start To make it a beautiful day So if you start crying in the middle of the night You just have to give me a call I’ve got a feeling that it’s gonna be right Cos I’ll pick you up when you fall A problem shared is a problem no more I’ll lend you an ear that’s what they’re for We’ll solve it together once we know the score We might as well give it a try So if you feel like screaming Just let it out And if you feel like sharing Let’s hear you shout Free your emotions So you find a way To make it a beautiful day

Saturday afternoon, the radio's on The sounds drift through the air The same teams, I've heard it all before The same names, the same score Drifting over me, through me It's all become a bit of a bore The same voices trying to inject some enthusiasm into their report Round and round we go again For this deja vue of weekly sport Into a deep deep sleep As I dream of something new What can we do What we need is Dogs on wheels Strap some wheels to each hound Dogs on wheels See them go round and round Dogs on wheels Strap a rocket to their back Dogs on wheels See them zoom around the track Dogs on wheels Over jumps and on the flats Dogs on wheels Chasing battery powered cats Dogs on wheels They make a whooshing sound Dogs on wheels Running close to the ground A horse race is happening somewhere But I don't really care Another near miss at the football, another wicket at the cricket The sound of leather on willow Make me yearn for my pillow The sound of willow on leather My mind is floating like a feather Into a deep deep sleep As I dream of something new What can we do What we need is Dogs on wheels Racing past at such a rate Dogs on wheels Oval tracks or figure of eight Dogs on wheels Send them out in a group Dogs on wheels Watch them do a loop the loop Guitar Dogs on wheels There’s some bookies taking bets Dogs on wheels The physios are all vets Dogs on wheels See spectators flooding in Dogs on wheels Cheering on their dog to win Dogs on wheels!

See the old man as he sits in the corner lost in the world in his head Buy him a drink and he’ll tell you a story tales of the life he once led He once was a boxer, a soldier a sailor Or maybe a gangster, explorer a tailor The story he tells talks of ruin and failure But which one is true we don’t know Dressed in a suit which suggests he was wealthy and once had a much better life With the nose of a fighter a gold ring on his finger though he never mentions a wife Scars and tattoos that all tell a story Full of adventure dishonour or glory He’ll speak with excitement and passion before he Stares into space That look on his face That tells of a lifetime of pain See the old man as he sits in the corner his eyes glazed and distant, he stares The crowd’s had their fill of his drunk entertainment no one is left there who cares He once was a boxer, a soldier a sailor Or maybe a gangster, explorer a tailor Tomorrow he’ll come back again to regale you once more

The riff 03:09
Sitting in my room guitar in hand Trying to write a song that'll suit the band Found some basic chords with a simple little tune A verse and a chorus that's coming soon Put it all together guitar, bass and drums Add some extra vocals and here they come In a few bars the lead guitar Is going to play a kick-ass riff Short and sweet, nice and neat It's gonna sound something like this Played it to the band but they just weren't sure Thought it was ok but it needs sothing more They listened to the verse which they said was ok When I sang the chorus, they just walked away I couldn't work out wat the music lacked But when I played the riff, they all came back For a few bars the lead guitar was gonna play a kick-ass riff Short and sweet, nice and neat It sounded something like this So, if you're sitting in a room trying to write a song Even if the music keeps going wrong Don't become disheartened have another crack Cos there's a little secret that'll help your track. Play some lead guitar to give yourself a lift And make sure you've got a kick-ass riff
