Long time ago there was a boy
Not special to behold
Magic stories were his joy
And now his tale is told
One summer's day a wizard called
An apprentice sought
A shake of hands, the glint of gold
And so the boy was bought
And soon he sat within the tower
Cold and all alone
Apprentice to the wizard's power
His aim to take it for his own

Although the boy was keen to learn
His days were long and hard
Gathering herbs and wood to burn
Cook the meals and sweep the yard

Not happy with his fate

What have I done?
When I dreamed of wizardry it didn't end this way
My master's dead, I killed him I've got to get away
I stole his powers, his books, his spells I never thought I would
Although there's darkness deep inside I'll use these powers for good
I can't stay up here in this tower reminded of the past
